OpenClaw
Overview
Section titled “Overview”OpenClaw is the leading open-source AI agent framework. Wilson’s skill and workflow system is designed to be compatible with the OpenClaw ecosystem, enabling cross-platform distribution and agent-to-agent collaboration.
Why OpenClaw Matters
Section titled “Why OpenClaw Matters”The OpenClaw community has 13,700+ skills in its registry, but the finance space is dominated by trading bots and income generation. There is virtually no coverage of bookkeeping, spend tracking, or personal finance management.
| Existing OpenClaw Finance | Focus |
|---|---|
| ClawStreet | Autonomous stock trading |
| FinClaw | Financial markets analysis |
| OpenClaw Finance | Strategy triggers → exchange orders |
| ezBookkeeping | Basic data queries (minimal integration) |
Wilson fills the gap: an AI agent runtime purpose-built for personal finance management — the first in the OpenClaw ecosystem.
Distribution via ClawHub
Section titled “Distribution via ClawHub”Wilson skills can be published to ClawHub, the OpenClaw Skills Registry:
- Free skills drive awareness and adoption
- Paid workflow packs drive revenue
- Wilson becomes the go-to runtime for financial skills on ClawHub
Publishing Skills
Section titled “Publishing Skills”Wilson’s SKILL.md format is designed to be ClawHub-compatible. A skill published to ClawHub can be discovered and used by any OpenClaw-compatible agent, while Wilson provides the financial tools and data layer needed to execute them.
Cross-Platform Workflows
Section titled “Cross-Platform Workflows”With OpenClaw integration, Wilson can participate in multi-agent workflows:
- Data collection — An OpenClaw agent fetches financial data, Wilson categorizes and analyzes it
- Report generation — Wilson generates financial reports that other agents distribute or act on
- Automated bookkeeping — An orchestrator agent triggers Wilson’s skills on a schedule
API Cost Advantage
Section titled “API Cost Advantage”A recurring concern in the OpenClaw community is API cost. Users report unexpected bills of $200+ running cloud-based agents.
Wilson’s local-first architecture directly addresses this:
- Ollama for inference — Zero API cost for AI queries
- Local SQLite — No cloud database charges
- Pay only for what you choose — Use cloud LLMs only when you want higher quality
This makes Wilson one of the most cost-effective agent runtimes for financial tasks.
Integration Roadmap
Section titled “Integration Roadmap”- Skill format compatibility — Ensure
SKILL.mdformat works across Wilson and OpenClaw - ClawHub publishing — Publish free skills to the registry
- Agent-to-agent communication — Enable Wilson to receive and respond to OpenClaw agent requests
- Marketplace distribution — Sell paid workflow packs through OpenClaw’s commercial channels
